RETIRED PERSONS FROM THE TEMPORARILY OCCUPIED DISTRICTS OF LUHANSK OBLAST WILL RECEIVE FUNDS IN THE USUAL REGIME

During July 1-8, 2020 in the branches and ATMs of JSC "Oschadbank" of Luhansk, located in Stanytsa Luhanska urban settlement, the clients withdrew UAH 4.3437 million. During the same period in June 2020, UAH 160.7 thousand were withdrawn in the same locations.

The total growth by 27 times occurred due to the operation resume of EECP "Stanitsa Luhanska". According to the bank, most of the withdrawn funds are pensions and social benefits accumulated during the quarantine period.

“Ministry for Reintegration has repeatedly emphasized that citizens, who actually reside in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and have IDP status will receive all necessary payments in full. This has already been proved by the example of Luhansk oblast. Pensions and social payments were accumulated on "Oschadbank" cards during the quarantine. As soon as the operation of EECP was resumed, people began to receive them in full. Unfortunately, the situation in Donetsk oblast is completely opposite. Despite the fact that mobile units of "Oschadbank" work in a usual regime, due to the blocking of the work of EECP in Donetsk oblast, the Russian occupation administration deliberately deteriorate the social and humanitarian situation,” emphasized the First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Rostyslav Zamlynskyi.

Let us recall that the EECPs on the contact line from the Government controlled area of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine began to work on June 10 in adaptive quarantine regime.

In particular, first were opened the EECP "Stanytsa Luhanska" and EECP "Mariinka" (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian side acts with maximum flexibility and in the interests of people. In the area of Stanytsa Luhanska the movement of citizens in reverse mode was established, the time of operation of EECP has been gradually increased from 3 hours a day to 11 hours a day. But the Russia-controlled occupation administration of Donetsk initially blocked the work of EECP.

Therefore, on June 22, EECP "Novotroitske" was additionally opened. However, due to the position of the occupation "authorities" in Donetsk, which requested to open EECP, the crossing is constantly blocked.

During July 8, 408 persons, including 14 children crossed EECP "Stanytsa Luhanska" from the temporarily occupied area of Luhansk to the Government-controlled territory in order to enter higher education institutions. In the opposite direction 365 persons were allowed to cross.

But only 4 persons were able to cross the contact line through the EECP "Novotroitske" in Donetsk oblast over the past 24 hours.

Also we would like to recall that JSC "Oschadbank" takes measures for operation of bank's mobile units based on KrAZ in order to expand the territory of public banking services and to ensure timely implementation of social payments and benefits by the state at the contact line in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts.
